Speaking during the plenary session at the landmark 25th Nigeria Oil and Gas (NOG) Energy Week 2026 in Abuja, with the theme: "Driving Energy Innovation: Technology-Powered Pathways for Oil and Gas," Engr. Cheta Okwuosa highlighted how digital technologies are redefining the delivery of energy infrastructure.
He emphasized that the future of project execution will be driven by intelligent engineering, automation, artificial intelligence, predictive analytics, and integrated digital solutions, while stressing that sustained investment in technology, talent, and strategic partnerships will be critical to accelerating innovation across the industry.
Drawing from Oilserv's vast experience, Cheta shared how the Company continues to integrate advanced engineering and digital technologies into its EPCIC operations, leveraging solutions such as Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD), Automatic Welding Systems, Automatic Ultrasonic Testing (AUT), Direct Pipeline Installation (DPI), and intelligent digital platforms to improve safety, enhance operational efficiency, strengthen asset integrity, and deliver complex energy infrastructure more sustainably.
Elaborating further on how the company's collaboration with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) has triggered broad-based technology transfer through on-the-job training and masterclass induction programs, Engr. Cheta stated that Oilserv is a company fully clad with professionals of diverse expertise.
